It's now been 3 years since we gained our ISO accreditations and upon the renewal we have upgraded the 9001 to the 2008 standard and 18001 to the 2007 standard, these are both the latest up to date standards and prove our ongoing commitment. We have also added CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) and Constructionline membership to our list of accreditations in order to comply with the requirements of public sector bodies. ABI are now registered on the REFCOM list of companies competent to handle refrigerants, please be aware that this will become law on 4th July 2011 and any company not registered and working with refrigerants after this date will be doing so unlawfully. The industry is changing rapidly with government legislation forever on the increase. We are doing our very best not only to keep up but to be ahead of the game wherever possible. Next year will our Director again doing his bit for charitable causes when he gets in the saddle again to cycle from 'Rome to Home' as part of the GM Fundraising team. This will take place sometime in June 2010 and will see a group of approx 15 riders trying to complete the circa 1500 miles, part of which will be tackling the infamous Mount Ventoux in the French Alps which is one of the toughest climbs on the 'Tour de France'. The ride will end at the Hope House Childrens Hospice in Oswestry which is again where the funds raised will be donated. Further details will be available in December but anyone interested in helping out should contact Mark directly at mark@abi-fe.co.uk |
